Scientific direction
Development of the theory of research and construction of a knowledge-oriented information search system based on corporate databases, establishment of patterns and trends in the development of science of superhard materials, ontologies and a transfer management system for open innovative scientific and technological developments in the subject area “superhard materials”.
Department tasks
- Development of an automated information system for knowledge management of the institute, methods of intellectual analysis and information processing.
- Systematization, processing, storage and updating of information using database management systems.
- Automated analysis of scientific and technical information using artificial intelligence methods – neural networks and expert systems, as well as using statistical and semantic methods.
- Creation of a knowledge base for the subject area “Superhard Materials”, its implementation in the traditional process of forming and implementing the scientific topics of the Institute.
- Scientific and technical editing of scientific articles and information materials, editing, preparation for printing and distribution of the journals “Superhard Materials”, “Instrumental World”.
- Development of software systems for managing planning and organizational, financial and accounting, personnel, patent and publication activities and document flow of the institute based on relevant databases.
- Development and implementation of the automated information system of NTAK “ALKON”. Development of investment projects and search for investors.
- Implementation and support of the functioning of information and telecommunication technologies, systems and networks, software and hardware complexes, WWW-representation of INM on the Internet, organization of Internet conferences.
- Development of mutually beneficial international scientific and technical relations, implementation of joint scientific and research projects while maintaining national priorities, international exchange of scientific information, joint publication of scientific articles and monographs.
- Support for young scientists, postgraduates, doctoral students and talented students.
- Creation of new, development and improvement of existing jobs.
