Research direction – study of the processes of obtaining tungsten powder particles with particle sizes up to 1000 microns in a parahydrogen gas environment and sintering of porous tungsten framework materials with pore sizes up to 1000 microns using an active hydrogen gas environment. Applied studies of sintering conditions, viscoplastic flow and strain hardening of tungsten heavy alloys of the W-Ni-Fe system and hard alloys of the WC-Co, WC-Ni type.

Scientific direction

Study of the influence of sintering conditions and additional chemical-thermal and thermomechanical treatments on the formation of structural and physico-mechanical properties of tungsten hard alloys and other composite materials based on tungsten for instrumental and structural applications. The specified scientific direction is implemented by studying the processes that occur when tungsten-containing materials are exposed to a combination of a gas environment during their sintering, thermal load, and the application of high pressures (up to 10 GPa) and temperatures (up to 1700 °C).
