Institute of Superhard Materials

The Scientific and Organizational Department is a structural unit of the institute, which performs scientific and technical and scientific and organizational work aimed at methodological, organizational support and coordination of scientific and scientific and technical activities of the scientific departments of the institute.

Department’s areas of work

• Scientific and methodological and organizational support for planning scientific and research works of the institute, approval of the thematic plan of research in the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine and control over its implementation. Preparation of reporting materials on the implementation of the research plan, projects of the State scientific and technical programs, programs of fundamental and applied research. Preparation of annual reports on the scientific and scientific and organizational activities of the institute.
• Scientific and methodological support for the protection of intellectual property objects, conducting patent research and registration of materials for inventions, “know-how”, sale of licenses in cooperation with the State Department of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Education and Science.
• Preparation of reference information materials on all areas of scientific and scientific and organizational activities of the institute.
• Organization of work on training scientific personnel in doctoral and postgraduate studies, control over the implementation of work plans for the preparation of dissertations for obtaining scientific degrees, conducting annual certification of doctoral and postgraduate students.
• Preparation and holding competitions for filling vacant scientific positions and preparing materials necessary for awarding academic titles.
• Providing scientific staff with information materials on the scientific areas of the institute’s activities, holding thematic exhibitions of new scientific publications.
• Preservation of the scientific heritage of the institute, ordering documents and compiling a reference system for the scientific and technical archival fund, preparation of historical references about the activities of the Institute and its outstanding employees.
• Creation of automated databases of the main scientific results of the institute’s activities, scientific personnel, library receipts, archival documents, etc.
• Organization of communication with the mass media and preparation of advertising materials on new scientific developments of the institute and scientific and organizational activities.
