He carried out a complex of scientific research on mechanical and physico-chemical contact interaction of the tool with the processed material. He developed, with obtaining author&#8217;s certificates and patents, a complex of experimental methods for studying the properties of materials and parameters of the process of contact interaction in the cutting zone. He has a personal creative contribution to the development of the theory of cutting with tools from superhard materials, the basics of mechanical processing using the provisions of fractal formalism regarding the properties of contacting materials, the laws of the cutting process and the formation of the state of the surface layer of products. He established and substantiated ways to increase the efficiency of the process of processing high-hard metals and alloys with a cutting tool equipped with superhard materials. He developed the scientific foundations of the processes of highly efficient blade processing of materials with a heterogeneous structure, in particular, welded and sprayed materials.
